Our Club Partners with the Preston Hollow Democrats for a SMASHINGLY successful Lobby Day at the Texas Capitol

On March 26, 2025, our club partnered with our friends at the Preston Hollow Democrats for a day-long bus trip from DCDP HQ to the Texas Capitol. Upon arrival, we met with Planned Parenthood of Texas regarding the various pending bills affecting reproductive freedom and maternal health, and then we met with our wonderful Democratic representatives, Rep. John Bryant and Rep. Venton Jones, before lobbying for our Democratic values with various GOP representatives. Lastly, we enjoyed a Crawfish Boil dinner with our brothers and sisters at the AFL-CIO, where we had one last meeting with Rep. Cassandra Garcia Hernandez before heading back to Dallas! The trip was a smashing success, and special thanks goes out to Liz Ginsberg for helping our club put together the agenda and some issue briefs we presented to each representative! We will see you in 2027 for the next Lobby Day!
